Part of the mission of Protect Our Parks includes –
“Our National Parks and protected Federal lands are are risk. Budgets and staff are being cut, and the Trump administration is promising to open the lands up to logging, mining and oil companies. We must stand against this callous greed and Protect our Parks!”
We rally and protest to bring attention and awareness to the public so that more concerned people can join the effort to support our Parks and Lands, whether it be local mobilization or reaching out to representatives or keeping the conversations going.
Every bit of effort and resistance makes an impact. Protect Our Parks is a local to East TN grassroots group, but we see big impact.
We were reminded of that by having a surprise visitor to our most recent protest – a Civic Witness and NYC based Protest Photographer who is documenting protests nationwide and has covered 25 states so far.
